Dubrovnik Airport as we recognize it today was opened on 10 December 1992. The ceremonial opening, after the restoration and reconstruction of the contents devastated by war, was on the 19th. April 1995. The renovation of the entire complex lasted until 2006. Dubrovnik had its first airport in the area of Gruda in Konavle, and in 1960 it was moved to its current position next to Čilipi.
